4-H Foods Revue
A Bayfield County Junior Fair: Pre-fair Event
All 4-H members are welcome to join us for this fun & educational pre-fair event. Share what you have learned about food & nutrition by preparing a recipe of your choice that fits with our annual theme. Bring your recipe to the revue where you will be judged by a certified Foods & Nutrition Judge. Be prepared to answer some questions about your recipe, it’s nutritional value, and how it relates to the year’s theme.
- Plan and prepare a delicious, healthy, and balanced recipe that fits with the year’s theme.
- Create a handwritten or typed menu
- Plan the table service needed to attractively serve the meal including dishes, silverware, table linen or placemat, and a centerpiece.
- On the day of the event members should arrive at the Iron River Community Center and set up their meal and table service. The judges will then go around to each member individually. Be prepared to talk with the judge and answer questions about your recipe, its nutritional value, sanitary preparation, your menu, and table setting.
- Foods Revue is a judged pre-fair event with premiums for Grades 3-5, 6-8, & 9-13 and ribbons for participating Cloverbuds.
