A Bayfield County Fair ~ Pre-Fair Event
All youth in grades K-13 who belong to a Bayfield County youth organization are welcome to join us for this fun & educational Bayfield County Fair ~ Pre-Fair event.
Share what you have learned about food & nutrition by preparing a recipe of your choice that fits with our annual theme. Bring your recipe to the revue where you will be judged by a certified Foods & Nutrition State Certified Judge. Be prepared to answer some questions about your recipe, it’s nutritional value, and how it relates to the year’s theme.

Foods Revue – How to Prepare & What to Expect
- Plan and prepare a delicious, healthy, and balanced recipe that fits with the year’s theme.
- Create a handwritten or typed menu
- Plan the table service needed to attractively serve the meal including dishes, silverware, table linen or placemat, and a centerpiece.
- On the day of the event members should arrive at the location and set up their menu, meal and table service.
- The judges will then go around to each member individually.
- Be prepared to talk with the judge and answer questions about your recipe, its nutritional value, sanitary preparation, your menu, and table setting.
